The Simplest Mage Leveling Guide For Noobies

One of the more fun characters to roll and play in World of Warcraft is the mage. Starting out as a weakling in the first few stages of the game, it can become quite an indomitable force later on and is a favourite for those who love to be aggressive. Following is an easy to follow step by step mage leveling guide to help make your life easier.
To level up easily always choose wide open spaces to fight in and cast your spells. This is because this character class is not much of a tank and needs to run around out of harms way. Should you be in a dungeon it will be much more difficult to stay alive and may require a group to level up.
To kill monsters on your own as a mage is fairly quite simple, using mostly missile spells. Usually you can begin your attack by using frost bolt on a monster you wish to kill. The frost bolt will slow it down and while it is slowed down follow through quickly by casting a fireball. If it is still coming at you, step back a few steps and cast the combination again and keep doing so until it stops moving, that is, it is dead.
Do always keep an eye on your mana level. This is important for without mana you cannot cast any spells. If you wish do purchase some mana potions to replenish it quickly while in battle. All throughout your levelling and grinding practice the frost bolt, fireball and arcane missile spam. Do this kind of simplified attack all the way to level 25.
You will need some friends once you reach level 25 so as to level up faster in the dungeons. Make friends with players who make able tanks like warrior type characters and you can be in charge of the damage dealing. Use AOE spells for really increased earnings in experience.
AOE or area of effect damage will bring in more experience as it will affect and kill more mobs. When using AOE damage for levelling specialize on using Frost type spells. Attack cycles begin by you using Improved Blizzard to pull in a mob. The attack is then followed by casting Frost Nova. Take a few steps back and cast Improved Blizzard again.
