Similar to how United States celebrates holidays; China also celebrates two sets of holidays, official holidays and traditional holidays. Examples of American holidays which are considered as traditional are Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Mother's Day, Halloween and Father's Day. All these are not recognized by our government though. The official holidays are Martin Luther King, New Year's Day, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, and Christmas.
