Considered as a marketing tool, advertising is one which can also be combined with other marketing tools like the sales promotions, personal selling tactics, or publicity. In the attempt to inform or persuade a particular target audience, an identified sponsor use advertising in order to promote a service, cause, product, or idea. It is a paid and non personal promotion. Advertising also can come in so many forms, examples of which are billboards, newspapers, television and radio, magazines, business publications, and circulars sent through the mail. Any business organization needs the help of advertising due to its very many benefits that it can give to the advertiser.

Newspaper ads can help those small businesses earn a lot of sales. Staffs having the necessary skills or experience to create effective advertisements are not always seen in most companies today, most especially because many advertising campaigns are temporary making the employers to have difficulty maintaining their own advertising staff. In addition, there is also online advertising which can include contextual ads that appear on banner ads, search engine results pages, in text ads, e-mail marketing, including e-mail spam, Rich Media Ads, Social network advertising, online classified advertising, and advertising networks. When there is advertising you can see in a retail store, it is called in-store advertising. There are also those celebrities who may be included in advertising campaigns such as television and print adverts. They are there to advertise specific or general products.

Publicity advertising may be called as the unpaid advertising. This can provide a good exposure at minimal cost. The future of advertising also considers the growing importance of the niche market using niche or targeted ads as significant. The best chance you have for success is to start with advertising. Always, you would need to continue advertising, no matter how successful you think you are. This will remain factual.
